It’s been a difficult time for 3mix the past ten months. We started last summer with some local investments (thank you for your support if you’re reading this) that allowed us to ramp up development. But by the time Winter rolled around the sour economy had taken out our remaining investment opportunities and we had to lay off the entire development staff.

However, over the past three months members of the 3mix development team have pitched in their free time to move the site forward (many thanks to Collin Miller, Quinn Shanahan, David Masover and Milo Winningham). Yesterday we launched a new version of 3mix which has many bugs squashed that were unfortunately left out on the live site after we announced lay offs last year.

The new site is more tailored to be a tool for creating online play-lists of your music that can be shared around the web or played from your desktop. One of the coolest features is that you can log on using your Twitter account, and then “tweet” the link to any Mixes you make or find.

Below is a Mix created by two of the 3mix developers who also have a popular radio show in on KRUU called P5K. If you find any bugs on the site please use the “feedback” tab on the left side of the window to let our developers know of the problem (or ask for a feature).
